" We cannot help people unless they really need help,
want help, and ask for help.
Even then, we can only help them to help themselves.
When we see others struggling,
we may feel so concerned
that we want to take charge, "for their own good."
True caring means being there for the person
but letting go of the problem.
Releasing the need to control frees us
to love with detachment
and to have faith that God can do what we cannot.
