Gift 24: Look Back
" Like a skilled pickpocket,
God is there for us in curious ways.
We may not know God was present in a situation
except by the evidence afterward.
At our time of need,
we may wonder why God has deserted us.
Through the gift of time, however, we can look back
and see that God was there all along-
sustaining, comforting, encouraging.
The perspective of time can show doors openings,
burdens lifting, miracles abounding.
Reflecting on how the loving hand of God
has brought serenity and new life out of past confusion
can give us new perspective on present problems.
