" Acceptance is not about denying,
numbing, or hiding.

anger, guilt, and grief.
When we try to bury feelings
that frighten us with their wildness,
they may erupt with destructive force
or we may slowly deaden ourselves to any feeling.
Listen to your feelings;
tell them to a friend;
give them voice.
They are messengers from the heart,
bearing sage counsel for coping and for mending
your broken spirit.
