Gift 5: TRAGEDY
" We try to make sense out of senselessness-
how can a good God allow
the tragedies of life?
God does not will bad things.
God seems to prefer
to let some things come out right
without directly changing them.
Perhaps divine intervention
would restrict human freedom of choice.
Perhaps the change would obstruct
God's ultimate design.
For reasons beyond us,
God chooses not to control
the universe as we might.
But love is different from control.
God is still good - ever at our side,
ever on our side,
feeling our hurt and longing to comfort us.
